There's something that happens in a room full of people who get it—a kind of relief you can't get anywhere else.
Group Therapy in Westlake Village, CA
Some things shift faster when you're not doing them alone.
You can talk about your relationships in individual therapy. But in group? You're actually in one, practicing new skills, getting honest feedback, and experiencing what it feels like to be truly seen by people who understand.
Group therapy at Phasma isn't sitting in a circle waiting for your turn. It's structured, intentional, and led by a licensed therapist who knows how to hold space for the real stuff that comes up when people stop pretending everything is fine.
why group works
Group gives you practice, not just insight.
You can talk about your relationships in individual therapy. In group, you are actually in one. That means feedback, accountability, connection, and the chance to try new patterns while someone skilled is guiding the room.
01. YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE
Hearing someone describe exactly what you've been feeling, but couldn't put into words changes everything. Isolation shrinks when you realize you're not alone in this.
02. practice in real time
Group isn't just talking about your patterns. It's practicing new ones communication, boundaries, emotional regulation; with people who are doing the same work.
03. HONEST FEEDBACK
Your therapist can tell you something ten times. But hearing it from someone who's been where you are? That lands differently.
04. built-In Accountability
Showing up every week for a group of people who know your story keeps you in the work even on the weeks you'd rather cancel.

Parent Support Groups
You love your kid. And some days, you don't like them very much. That's okay to say here.
Parent groups combine the emotional support of therapy with the practical, evidence-based behavioral strategies that actually work at home. As a BCBA and an LMFT, I bring both, so you're not just venting (though there's room for that too). You're leaving with tools.
These groups are especially powerful for parents navigating:
𓇼 Behavioral challenges and emotional explosions
𓇼 ADHD, autism, and neurodivergent parenting
𓇼 Co-parenting conflict
𓇼 The guilt of feeling like nothing you do is right

How Group Therapy Works
-
01 . We Talk First
Before joining any group, you'll have a one-on-one conversation with me. I want to make sure the group is the right fit for you and that you feel prepared walking in. Nobody goes in blind. -
02. Small & Intentional
Groups are kept small, typically 4 to 8 people, so everyone has space to be heard. Every session has structure and purpose. This isn't a free-for-all. -
03. Consistent & Confidential
Groups meet on a regular schedule, typically 8 to 12 weeks, with sessions running 60 to 90 minutes. What's shared in the room stays in the room. That trust is what makes group work.

-
That's completely normal. You never have to share more than you're ready for. Most people find that after a session or two, the group starts to feel like the safest place they have.
-
Yes — and I recommend it for a lot of clients. Individual therapy gives you depth. Group therapy gives you practice and connection. They work really well together.

Typically 4 to 8. Small enough that everyone gets real time, big enough that you benefit from different perspectives.
